Work in progress Wednesday! Part II

Happy Wednesday, everyone!

I've been busy, busy, busy with two November challenges. The first is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo. That particular work in progress is coming along nicely, with 12,590 words, and counting. So far, there have been wicked stepmothers, portals to other worlds, and butterflies. Many more fantastic things to come.

The second is Art Every Day Month, which has been a ton of fun. While I haven't made a different piece every day, I've made some lovely things, including a pinwheel pendant, a pair of sparkly, dangly earrings, and a sequin charm bracelet. I'll share those later on this week, but for now I'd like to share something else I've been working on. You may recognize it from the previous WIP Wednesday.

After a false start, I'm on the right path with this project! I love the beaded links, and I love the color scheme. I can't wait to finish it, which will mean getting out my jeweler's saw and my copper wire and making some more jump rings so I can add more sparkly components.

Are you participating in either of these creative challenges? What are you working on?

(Even if you're not doing either of these, I'd love to hear about your latest project.)

Thanks, and have a sequintastic day!

  1. Oh those are both very cool challenges. I have 3 for November. Yikes! I'd better get hopping! :)

  2. OHMIGOODNESS! It's looking gorgeous! :)

  3. Now that is a lovely statement necklace - lots of movement.

I'm working on a tutorial right now which will eventually be on my blog.

  4. Grace -- Thanks!

I can't wait to see what it looks like when it's finished. It's totally different from my original idea -- better, even -- and has become a bit of a mystery. :)

  5. Shirley --

Three challenges? Sounds fun! What sorts of challenges?

  6. Thanks, Audrey! :)

I'll bring some of the other things I made to the write-in on Saturday. I brought the bracelet last night, but got distracted by ice cream! <--- Has priorities figured out.

  7. Pearl --

Thanks! I'm excited to see where it will go next.

I can't wait to see what your tutorial is like! But I will try to be patient. :)

  8. Wow you were on 12000 words on wednesday?? Eeek I'm far behind you then. I've murders, drugs and mothers swinging from chandeliers: contrast much? Lol might stick a bunny in there somewhere now then hehe

  9. Sadly, I haven't moved much since then! I'm suddenly bored of my project. I'm thinking, I'll have to skip ahead to some of the juicy parts today at the write-in.

I'd love to see how you fit bunnies in with everything else! Sounds like a fun book. :)

Comments are like chocolate chip cookies for my blog! They're always appreciated. <3
